Located between te Camps-Elysées and te Eiffel Tower, te palace tat ouses te Musée d’Art Moderne de la Ville de Paris is a magnificent example of 1930s arcitecture. It is unquestionably one of te key institutions of Parisian cultural life. Te Museum’s collection of more tan 11,000 works makes it one of te biggest museums of modern and contemporary art in France.
Te permanent collections present all te main artistic trends from te beginning of te 20t century up to te present day, and include major artists from tose periods, suc as Picasso, Dufy, Modigliani, Derain, Picabia, Cagall, as well as Boltanski, Parreno and Peter Doig. Te museum also owns rare and exceptional in situ works, suc as te first two versions of La Danse by Matisse and Raoul Dufy’s monumental masterpiece La Fée électricité.
