ARETÉ SPACE presents a group exhibition of European female artists at its new gallery space marking its second anniversary. Artists aged 30-85 use diverse languages to sketch a generational panorama of feminine consciousness.

价值空间 ARETÉ SPACE欣然宣布，值此成立两周年之际，画廊位于798东街的全新展厅正式启幕。11月8日，画廊将于新址呈现一场以欧洲女性艺术家为主角的特别展览，参展艺术家年龄跨度自30岁至85岁，她们以多元的创作语言，共同勾勒出一幅跨越世代的女性意识图景。诚邀您拨冗莅临，聆听她们以艺术为媒介的动人“表达”。

ARETÉ SPACE is delighted to announce the official opening of its new gallery space on East Street, 798, coinciding with its second anniversary. On 8th November, the gallery will present a special exhibition at its new premises, featuring predominantly European female artists. Spanning ages from 30 to 85, these creators employ diverse artistic languages to collectively sketch a generational panorama of feminine consciousness. ⼥性在当代艺术中的叙事往往源于⼀种深刻⽽多元的个⼈视⾓，挑战传统叙事⽅式，并不断拓展⾝份、脆弱性与⼒量的边界。尽管男性艺术家长期主导着艺术正典，以宏⼤的历史、政治或观念性主题为主，许多⼥性艺术家则通过更为亲密的视⾓质疑社会规范，聚焦那些曾被边缘化或压抑的真实经验。尽管⼈们对⼥性艺术家贡献的认可⽇益增加，但她们在画廊、美术馆藏品及艺术拍卖市场中仍然处于代表性不⾜的地位。不过，这种不平衡正在逐步改善，这得益于倡导⾏动的推动、⽂化意识的转变，以及⼥性艺术之声⽇益凸显的影响⼒，正不断塑造艺术的未来格局。

欧洲当代艺术中的⼥性叙事常常反映出⼀种⻓期被体制排斥的历史，以及近年来对话语权的强势回归。欧洲⼥性艺术家经常围绕身份、记忆与抵抗等主题展开创作，这些主题深受欧洲复杂的社会政治背景影响——从殖⺠主义、战后重建到20世纪的⼥性主义运动等。

她们的叙事常常挑战传统⻄⽅艺术正统，运⽤讽刺、观念性策略与历史批判等⽅式，颠覆主导性的话语体系，重新定义艺术与表达的界限。

我们汇聚了⼀群来⾃欧洲的⼥性艺术家，年龄从30岁到85岁不等。这不仅仅是⼀个⼈⼜统计数据——它代表着⼀段段真实的⽣命历程，不断变化的⽂化景观，以及个⼈与政治的变迁。她们之间的纽带不是风格，也不是媒介，⽽是每位艺术家都在从⾃⾝的⽪肤、历史和当下出发进⾏创作。⽽当她们聚在⼀起时，就会发⽣某种奇妙的事情。

这就像调频收听不同的⼴播电台，播放的都是来⾃同⼀个⼤陆的⾳乐，但跨越了⼏⼗年。有些作品粗粝，有些精致；有些充满幽暗，有些轻快俏⽪。但它们都带有作为欧洲⼥性的痕迹——⽆论是⾯对沉默、挑战传统，还是拒绝被归类。

风格的“混合”？其实不是混合，⽽是⼀种星座。每位艺术家都是⼀颗光点，有的炽热闪耀，有的微弱闪烁。但当你退后⼀步看，就能看到⼀个形状。不是主题，不是叙事，⽽是⼀种存在感。⼀个集体的存在感在说：我们在这⾥，我们⼀直在这⾥，我们还没有结束。

没有口号，没有标签，只有作品和背后的⼥性。这是⼀⽀⼥性合唱团，每个⼈都从不同的时间、地理和⼼理位置发声。有些是极繁主义者，有些是极简主义者；有些低语，有些咆哮。但她们都拥有⼀种内在性——⼀种表达感受⽽不仅仅是视觉的承诺。

她们共同构成了⼀幅跨世代的⼥性意识图景。不是宣⾔，不是运动，⽽是⼀群拒绝被简化为潮流的思想聚会。

Female storytelling in contemporary art often emerges from a deeply personal and multifaceted space, challenging traditional narratives and expanding the boundaries of identity, vulnerability, and power. While male artists have long dominated the canon with grand historical, political, or conceptual statements, many female artists offer intimate perspectives that question societal norms and spotlight lived experiences—especially those historically marginalized or silenced.Despite a growing recognition of women’s contributions to the art world, female artists remain underrepresented in galleries, museum collections, and auction houses. However, this imbalance is gradually shifting, thanks to increased advocacy, shifting cultural awareness, and the powerful impact of female voices shaping the future of art.Female storytelling in European contemporary art often reflects a long history of institutional exclusion and a recent surge of reclamation. European women artists frequently engage with themes of identity, memory, and resistance, shaped by the continent’s complex socio-political past—from colonialism to post-war reconstruction and the feminist movements of the 20th century. Their narratives often challenge the traditional Western canon, using irony, conceptual strategies, and historical critique to subvert dominant narratives.

We have gathered a group of European female artists, aged 30 to 85. That’s not just a demographic—it’s a span of lived time, of shifting cultural landscapes, of personal and political change. The glue isn’t style. It’s not medium. It’s the fact that each artist is working from inside her own skin, her own history, her own moment. And yet, when you put them together, something happens.

It’s like tuning into different radio stations, all playing music from the same continent, but across decades. Some are raw, some refined. Some are haunted, some playful. But they all carry traces of being a woman in Europe—whether that means reckoning with silence, pushing against tradition, or simply refusing to be categorized.

The mix of styles? It’s not a mix. It’s a constellation. Each artist is a point of light. Some burn hot, some flicker quietly. But when you stand back, you see a shape. Not a theme. Not a narrative. Just a presence. A collective presence that says: we’re here, we’ve been here, and we’re not done yet.

No slogans. No labels. Just the work, and the women behind it. It’s a chorus of women who each speak from a different place in time, geography, and psyche. Some are maximalists, some minimalists. Some whisper, some roar. But they all share a kind of interiority—a commitment to expressing something felt, not just seen.

Together, they form a landscape of female consciousness across generations. Not a manifesto. Not a movement. Just a gathering of minds that refuse to flatten themselves into trends.
